Salary – Up to £30k (DOE)

Our well-established accountancy practice is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our growing team. About the Role
- To prepare, send and submit accounts & tax returns for our clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
- To support Client Managers / onboard new clients and integrate them into your portfolio this will include bookkeeping, compliance etc to then be handed over to the relevant department.
- To complete, review and prepare book-keeping, VAT returns and CIS.
- To maintain electronic filing of books and records both internally as well as management of client administration and records.
- To act as liaison between clients and HM Revenue & Customs to deal with and resolve queries.
- To ensure and update HMRC/Companies House statutory information is accurate.
- To attend networking events where required.
- To participate and contribute to year end client meetings.
- Internal and external training e.g., client bookkeeping training and as applicable as per our company values.
About You
- 3 years working in a UK accountancy practice (Please note without this experience your application will not be considered)
- Accounting qualifications desirable
- Confident building strong client relationships
- Familiar with cloud based software's
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
