Salary: Up to £35,000 (DOE)
Our client, a respected and growing accountancy practice based in Chesterfield, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join their team. As an Accounts Senior, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting services to a diverse client base, including Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships. Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Senior:
- Preparation of year-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
- Preparation of Corporation Tax Computations and associated tax returns
- Liaising with clients to gather information and provide updates
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT work prepared by junior staff
- Assisting in the supervision and mentoring of junior team members
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
The ideal Accounts Senior will have experience working in a public practice environment. Strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified (qualified by experience will also be considered)
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts Senior role within practice
- Good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
