The Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice seeking an Accounts Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to work with a diverse client portfolio while continuing to develop their technical and professional skills.
The role will suit someone with recent practice experience who is confident managing accounts preparation from start to finish and enjoys working with owner-managed businesses and charities.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of interim, statutory and non-statutory accounts
- Working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and charitable organisations
- Assisting with forecasts, business plans and ad hoc financial reporting
- Liaising with clients and responding to queries in a professional and timely manner
- Extensive use of accounting software and IT systems
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with deadlines
Candidate Requirements
- ACA / ACCA / CA qualified preferred
- Part-qualified candidates or those looking to transfer training contracts will also be considered, provided they have relevant and recent experience within practice
- Strong IT skills with a willingness to work across multiple systems
- Working knowledge of IRIS, Xero and Sage would be advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
