About the Role – Audit and Accounts Semi-Senior:
The successful Audit and Accounts Semi-Senior will work on a mixed portfolio of audit and accounts assignments, gaining exposure to a wide range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of statutory year-end accounts
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of audit work
- Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
- Communicating directly with clients to handle queries and build relationships
- Supporting senior staff with ad hoc projects and client work
- Mentoring junior team members
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant professional standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice
- ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong understanding of accounts preparation and audit processes
- Proficient in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines
