Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for your next role? Our client, a well-established and growing firm in Glasgow, is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper with at least three years’ experience in a similar role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and CIS submissions, who enjoys working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting the wider finance team. This is a role suited to someone who is organised, proactive, and ready to take ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording transactions and maintaining ledgers.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Handle payroll for staff, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Complete CIS submissions and liaise with HMRC as required.
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain financial records.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and administrative tasks.

About the Candidate
You are a confident and organised professional with at least three years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping role. You enjoy working with numbers, have a strong understanding of payroll, VAT, and CIS submissions, and take pride in accuracy and attention to detail. Proactive and dependable, you thrive in a collaborative environment and are always looking for ways to streamline processes and support your team.
