Puro Accountancy are delighted to be supporting an Accountancy practice in Chester in their search for a Bookkeeper to join their friendly well-established team of accountancy professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Quarterly/Monthly VAT returns and submissions
• Meeting monthly VAT deadlines
• Reviewing VAT transactions for accuracy and completeness
• Keeping up to date with HMRC VAT and other relevant regulations along with new releases within cloud software
• Supporting end-to-end payroll duties
• Supporting self-assessment tax returns
• Liaising with clients in a professional manner

Requirements:

• Hold around 2 or more years bookkeeping experience within a practice setting
• Demonstrate high levels of communication skills
• Have strong technical expertise in VAT
• Be capable of working independently, taking initiative, and quickly adapting to the role
