Children Law Solicitor
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
Full-time | Flexible working options available

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children Law Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded family law team.
We are looking for a confident and personable solicitor with strong experience in Private Children Law, who is comfortable managing their own caseload and representing clients throughout the legal process.

The Role:

  • Managing a caseload of Private Children Law matters.
  • Advising clients on a range of children and family law issues.
  • Representing clients in court and conducting advocacy where appropriate.
  • Handling matters involving domestic abuse.
  • Preparing legal documentation, correspondence and court papers.
  • Managing files effectively and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider family team.
  • Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and external contacts.
  • Providing a consistently high level of client care.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in Children Law, particularly Private Children matters.
  • Must have Resolution accreditation and/or Children Panel membership 
  • Previous experience managing a caseload independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Good knowledge of Legal Aid procedures and requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A professional, proactive and client-focused approach.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A full UK driving licence.
