An established accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with practice experience who enjoys building long-term client relationships, delivering high-quality service and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of SME clients across a broad range of sectors, providing both compliance and advisory support while working closely with senior management.
The Role
- Managing your own portfolio of business clients from a range of industries.
- Acting as the main point of contact, delivering a proactive and professional service.
- Reviewing accounts, tax returns and related compliance work.
- Providing practical advice on accounting, taxation and business matters.
- Monitoring client deadlines and ensuring work is completed efficiently.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Identifying opportunities to develop client relationships and provide additional services.
- Working closely with directors on more complex assignments and advisory projects.
- Building trusted relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
About YouTo be considered, you should have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience with strong practice exposure).
- Previous experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice.
- A strong understanding of UK accounts and tax compliance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience reviewing work and supporting less experienced team members.
- Confidence working with a range of accounting software packages.
