Location: Liverpool (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

Puro Associates are delighted to be supporting a leading law firm with a national reputation for excellence in their search for a skilled Clinical Negligence Solicitor (Grade B) to join their expanding team in Liverpool. Role Responsibilities of the Clinical Negligence Solicitor:

  • Managing a caseload of multi-track clinical negligence claims from initial instruction through to resolution.
  • Investigating liability and causation issues and obtaining expert medical evidence.
  • Drafting legal documents including Letters of Claim, witness statements, and instructions to counsel.
  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients in mediation and other forms of dispute resolution.
  • Liaising effectively with clients, experts, counsel, and third parties throughout the claims process.
  • Providing clear, empathetic legal advice to clients, often on sensitive and complex issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with court deadlines, procedural rules, and internal quality standards.
  • Assisting with mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge-sharing within the team.

Clinical Negligence Solicitor Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
  • Grade B status (typically 4+ years PQE) with strong experience in clinical negligence work.
  • Proven track record managing complex, high-value claims independently.
  • Strong litigation, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and client care abilities, with sensitivity to client needs.
  • Proactive, organised, and capable of working to deadlines under pressure.
  • A collaborative team player with a passion for access to justice.
