A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced and capable Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its established Litigation Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-value, complex disputes within a firm recognised nationally for its litigation and dispute resolution expertise.

The Firm

The firm has significant experience across all areas of dispute resolution and litigation, including high-profile High Court proceedings and specialist disciplinary and administrative tribunals. It also enjoys a strong national reputation for alternative dispute resolution, with a well-established mediation and arbitration practice.

The firm is ranked in the Legal 500 as a leading practice in Yorkshire—and in some areas nationally—across 18 practice areas, including Commercial Litigation.

The Role
You will handle a broad and varied caseload, advising a diverse client base on complex and often high-value disputes. Matters will include:

  • Commercial disputes
  • Insolvency litigation
  • Mediation and arbitration
  • Partner and shareholder disputes
  • Property and construction disputes
  • Reputation management
  • Sporting and regulatory disputes
  • Contentious trusts and probate

About You

The ideal candidate will be a confident and commercially minded litigator, capable of delivering high-quality advice while managing matters independently.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Approximately 4–5 years’ PQE in Commercial Litigation (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Broad experience across commercial disputes
  • Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules with proven technical ability
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work to deadlines
  • Experience drafting pleadings, witness statements and other litigation documents
  • Confidence liaising directly with clients and representing them in court where required
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
  • A commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards

You will also be encouraged to contribute to business development and marketing, with the support of the wider firm, as all lawyers are expected to play an active role in developing client relationships.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive, market-rate salary
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Additional firm closure between Christmas and New Year
  • Auto-enrolment pension scheme
  • Modern, well-located offices
  • Supportive and professional working environment
  • Clear opportunities for progression within the practice

This role offers the opportunity to join a respected and ambitious litigation team, working on challenging and high-quality matters within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm.
