Crime Solicitor (1–3 PQE)

Overview:
A well-established, multi-service law firm is seeking a Crime Solicitor to join its busy and growing criminal law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to handle a varied caseload while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role:

• Managing a diverse caseload of criminal matters, including theft, assault, drug offences, and other criminal cases
• Representing clients in the Magistrates’ Court
• Attending police stations and courts across Kent
• Conducting legal research and preparing cases for trial
• Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the criminal justice process
• Liaising with barristers and other professionals as required
• Maintaining accurate case files and documentation

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE in criminal law
• Experience managing a caseload independently
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
• Solid understanding of criminal procedures and regulations
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Duty status or willingness to work towards accreditation
