The Opportunity
Puro Associates are working with an established legal practice in Leeds that is looking to appoint an Employment Solicitor to join its growing team.
This is a great opportunity for an Employment Solicitor with at least 1 year's experience who is looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive employment team.
You will work with a varied client base, including businesses, HR professionals and individuals, advising on a broad range of employment matters and building strong long-term client relationships.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with client enquiries and taking initial instructions.
- Advising on, drafting and negotiating settlement agreements.
- Conducting Employment Tribunal litigation for both employers and employees.
- Advocacy at Employment Tribunal where required.
- Drafting contracts of employment and directors' service agreements.
- Preparing staff handbooks and employment policies.
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance and redundancy matters.
- Providing employment support on corporate and commercial transactions, including TUPE.
- Building strong and trusted client relationships.
- Contributing to seminars, networking and business development activity.
- Managing your own caseload and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 1 year's Employment Law experience.
- A good understanding of Employment Tribunal litigation and procedure.
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and providing clear, practical advice.
- Experience managing a busy caseload.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and client-care skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
- A commercially minded and proactive approach.
- A genuine desire to develop as an Employment Solicitor.
