About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a growing Employment team at Senior Associate or Partner level. This newly created position offers the chance to establish and grow the firm's Employment Law presence across Chester and North Wales while working within a supportive and collaborative team.
You'll enjoy a high level of autonomy, managing a varied and high-quality caseload while playing a key role in business development and the continued expansion of the department. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of employment law matters for employers and employees.
- Advise clients on Employment Tribunal claims, HR issues, disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy, discrimination, TUPE, restrictive covenants, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings and undertake advocacy where appropriate.
- Build and develop the firm's Employment Law offering across Chester and the surrounding region.
- Develop new and existing client relationships through networking and business development activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to provide commercially focused legal advice.
- Maintain accurate time recording, billing, and case management records.
- Deliver exceptional standards of client care and technical legal advice.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in Employment Law.
- Strong experience managing your own employment law caseload independently.
- Employment Tribunal and advocacy experience is essential.
- Commercially aware with excellent technical knowledge of employment legislation.
- Passionate about business development and growing a successful employment practice.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Ambitious, proactive, and motivated to support the continued growth of the department.
