Puro Associates are excited to be working with a respected law firm in Stratford that is looking to expand its team with a talented and dedicated Family and Immigration Solicitor. As a Family and Immigration Solicitor, you will handle a varied caseload of both family law and immigration matters, representing clients with professionalism and care. You will work on a range of family law issues, including divorce, child arrangements, and domestic abuse, alongside immigration matters such as visas, asylum, and nationality applications.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a mixed caseload of family law and immigration matters, providing advice and representation to clients.
  • Family Law: Advise on divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, domestic abuse, and related family law issues.
  • Immigration Law: Assist clients with visa applications, asylum claims, appeals, and citizenship matters.
  • Provide clear, practical, and timely legal advice to clients in both areas of law.
  • Draft legal documents such as applications, petitions, letters, and court forms.
  • Represent clients in court, including attending hearings and providing advocacy where necessary.
  • Liaise with clients, authorities, and third parties to ensure the smooth progress of each case.
  • Maintain a high level of client service and communication, managing expectations effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ to 3 years PQE) with experience in family and immigration law.
  • Strong knowledge of family law and immigration law, including the latest developments and legal procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload and work under pressure.
  • A client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
