Family Solicitor
Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

  • Divorce and separation
  • Financial remedy proceedings
  • Private Children Act matters
  • Domestic abuse matters
  • Cohabitation disputes
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Handle complex financial remedy cases involving business assets, pensions, investment portfolios, and high-value estates.
  • Draft court applications, witness statements, consent orders, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct advocacy where appropriate and liaise with Counsel.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional client care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with SRA regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Play an active role in business development, networking, and growing the department.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE in Family Law.
  • Strong experience managing privately funded family law matters independently.
  • Excellent technical knowledge across divorce, financial remedies, and private children matters.
  • Experience handling complex financial disputes is highly desirable.
  • Previous supervisory or mentoring experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong advocacy, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with an interest in business development.
  • Organised, empathetic, and committed to delivering outstanding client service.
