Family Solicitor
Location: Northwich or Sandbach, Cheshire
Contract Up to £57,000 + Bonus
A well-established and ambitious law firm is seeking a Family Solicitor to join its growing team in either Northwich or Sandbach.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and client-focused solicitor who enjoys the substance of family law and is looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and collaborative team where you will be supported by approachable Heads of Department while being given real autonomy over your work.
The Role
You will manage a varied private family law caseload, providing high-quality legal advice and sensitive client care across a broad range of matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of privately funded family law matters
- Advising on divorce and financial remedy proceedings
- Handling private children law matters, including child arrangements
- Advising on TOLATA claims, injunctions, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Drafting applications, consent orders, and legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties
- Providing clear, empathetic, and practical legal advice
- Managing cases efficiently from instruction through to resolution
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- Experience in private family law
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of family matters
- Excellent communication and client-care skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- A personable, empathetic, and professional approach
- Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing firm
