Immigration Solicitor / Caseworker
Location: Liverpool City Centre
Permenant
Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)

A dynamic and client-focused law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Solicitor or Caseworker to join its expanding Immigration Department in Liverpool City Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing practice, managing a diverse caseload while working within a supportive and professional environment.

The Role

You will handle a broad range of immigration matters from instruction through to completion, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking detailed instructions from clients on a variety of immigration matters
  • Preparing and submitting immigration applications, including spouse, family, leave to remain, indefinite leave to remain, Skilled Worker, student, visit visa, sponsor licence, and asylum applications
  • Managing appeals and preparing appeal bundles
  • Handling claims against the Home Office, including unlawful detention and Windrush-related matters
  • Liaising with the Home Office, tribunals, and other relevant bodies
  • Maintaining accurate file management and ensuring compliance with SRA and OISC requirements
  • Delivering excellent client care and providing regular updates to clients

Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience handling a wide range of immigration matters
  • Strong knowledge of UK immigration law, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Qualified Solicitor or OISC Level 2+ accredited Caseworker
  • Experience in immigration-related litigation (e.g. unlawful detention claims)
  • Experience with Windrush-related cases
