Legal Cashier – Stoke
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £25,500 – £30,000 DOE
Puro Associates are currently working with a respected law firm to recruit a Legal Cashier for their busy finance team in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid legal accounting experience to join a well-established firm with a strong reputation for client service and staff development.
The Role as a Legal Cashier:
As a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the accounts department, including:
- Processing client and office account transactions
- Handling bank reconciliations and electronic payments
- Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
- Dealing with disbursements, legal aid billing, and month-end procedures
- Liaising with fee earners and other departments regarding financial queries
About You:
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm is essential
- Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider finance team
