Litigation Solicitor
Salary: Competitive
Location: Petts Wood or Bexleyheath

Caseload

  • Debt recovery
  • Judgments and enforcement
  • Landlord and tenant disputes
  • Neighbour disputes
  • Construction disputes
  • Contentious probate
  • ToLATA (Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act matters)
  • Company restoration
  • Insolvency proceedings

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters from instruction through to resolution.
  • Provide clear, practical and strategic legal advice to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, correspondence, witness statements and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare court documentation.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations and settlement negotiations where required.
  • Accurately record all time, both chargeable and non-chargeable, in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Ensure files are maintained in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of client care and communication throughout each matter.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and networking opportunities where appropriate.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 4 years’ PQE as a Litigation Solicitor.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in civil litigation.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed fee targets.
  • Excellent client care skills with an empathetic and professional approach.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and solution-focused.
  • A cooperative and supportive approach to working with colleagues across the firm.
