Part Qualified Accountant- Non Audit
Salary: up to €40,000 with bonus

Reports To: Accounts Services Manager
Department: Accounts
Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm Mon to Thurs & 8.30am to 2.30pm on Fridays. (Remote days, Mondays and Fridays)
Contract Type: Permanent, full time

My client is an established 3-partner chartered accountancy firm based in Ashbourne. With an impressive database of clients, my client has been providing high-quality chartered accountancy services for over 30 years. Their offices are located less than 10 minutes from the M50, serving a broad range of clients, including those in audit, non-audit, sole trader, and various industry sectors.
 
Essential requirements

  • Must be able to prepare accounts and working papers to review stage
  • Must have excellent verbal and written English

 
General Duties and Responsibilities of the Part Qualified Accountant:

  • Preparation of year end non-audit company accounts and working papers to review stage
  • Ability to reconcile balance sheet items including VAT, Payroll, leases, hire purchases and fixed assets
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and familiarity of posting journals onto accounting software
  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements in line with agreed deadlines, ability to follow checklists, procedures and process requirements
  • Assist with year-end close out and year end journals
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns
  • Liaising with clients – confident in dealing with clients over the phone and through written correspondence
  • Assisting manager on special client assignments

 
Part Qualified Accountant Qualities:

  • Part Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA
  • Minimum 2 plus years general accounting practice experience
  • Results orientated
  • Excellent technical abilities
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands-on role
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to work on own initiative

 
Technical Expertise:

  • CCH Accounts Production
  • Excel (Intermediate/Advanced preferable)
  • Surf, Xero and Sage Line 50 (most common client accounting system)
  • Microsoft Suite
  • Corporation Tax Pro
