We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our growing team in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with bureau payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
We are open to both full-time and part-time applications and offer flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.

The Role

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth and accurate processing of payrolls for a varied client base while providing excellent service and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls accurately and on time
  • Managing payroll queries from clients and employees
  • Processing starters, leavers, pensions, and statutory payments
  • Submitting RTI information to HMRC
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation
  • Supporting with auto-enrolment pension administration
  • Ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation and procedures
  • Assisting the wider payroll team where required

About You

  • Most have bureau payroll experience within practice, ideally 3+ years
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Confident using payroll software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
  • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach
