Puro Associates are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing accountancy firm in their search for an experienced Payroll Senior to join their busy Payroll Services team in Exmouth. Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients (weekly and monthly)
• Review the work of payroll administrators, ensuring accuracy and high service standards
• Liaise with clients to obtain payroll information and provide auto-enrolment support
• Handle payroll-related payments and bank submissions
• Support the Head of Payroll Services with day-to-day operations
• Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting their development
• Contribute to process improvements within the payroll function

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ payroll experience within a UK practice
• Strong end-to-end payroll processing knowledge
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Confident IT user, including strong Excel skills
• Experience using Sage Payroll (essential) and Xero Payroll (desirable)
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
