Puro Associates are delighted to be working with an established and well-regarded accountancy practice in Jarrow, who are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with payroll bureau or accountancy practice experience who enjoys working closely with clients and managing a varied portfolio of payrolls.

The Role
- Processing weekly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients
- Managing starters, leavers, salary changes, deductions and statutory payments
- Preparing and submitting HMRC payroll submissions
- Managing pension auto-enrolment and related requirements
- Dealing directly with client payroll queries
- Producing payroll reports and relevant documentation
- Liaising with HMRC and pension providers
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records
- Ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and within deadlines
- Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation
About You
- Previous payroll experience within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and processes
- Experience managing multiple client payrolls
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using payroll software and Excel
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- Professional and discreet when handling confidential information
