Job Title: Audit Exempt Accountant

About the Role
Our client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Dublin City Centre, is seeking an experienced Audit Exempt Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of accounts from start to finish and bringing order to manual or disorganised client records.
This role is ideally suited to a candidate from a small or medium-sized practice where the focus has been on accounts preparation rather than technical audit work.
Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for audit exempt clients
• Managing client files from incomplete or manual records through to final accounts
• Preparing management accounts and statutory financial statements
• Reconciling balance sheet items and resolving discrepancies
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and clarify queries
• Supporting junior staff where required
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and reporting standards

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment is essential
• Strong background in accounts preparation rather than audit
• Comfortable working with incomplete or messy records and bringing them to completion
• Senior-level experience is required; qualification is not essential
• Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Good client communication and organisational skills
