Will Writer / Private Client Solicitor
Location: Burnley
Contract Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits

A growing and well-regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Will Writer / Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding Private Client team in Burnley.

The Role

You will manage a broad range of private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration, providing high-quality legal advice and excellent client care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting simple and complex wills, including those involving trusts and estate planning structures
  • Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA)
  • Managing estate administration from initial instruction through to final distribution
  • Applying for grants of probate and letters of administration
  • Advising on inheritance tax planning and post-death planning strategies
  • Handling trusts, including establishment and ongoing administration
  • Advising clients with sensitivity and professionalism in often vulnerable circumstances
  • Maintaining accurate case management and compliance with firm procedures
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience as a Will Writer or Private Client Solicitor
  • Strong knowledge of wills, probate, and estate administration
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently
  • Excellent communication and client-care skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
  • Experience in trusts and inheritance tax planning
  • STEP qualification or working towards
