A well-established and highly regarded Central London law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Residential & Commercial Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive to join its growing Property team.
This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied caseload of both residential and commercial property matters within a busy, supportive, and collaborative environment. The Role
You will manage your own mixed caseload of residential and commercial property transactions, acting for a diverse client base including private individuals, investors, developers, landlords, tenants, and business owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of residential and commercial property matters from instruction through to completion
- Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Advising on commercial acquisitions and disposals
- Drafting and negotiating commercial leases, licences, and related property documentation
- Acting on remortgages, transfers of equity, and refinancing transactions
- Conducting title investigations and reviewing searches
- Preparing reports on title and advising clients throughout the transaction
- Liaising with lenders, agents, surveyors, and other solicitors
- Ensuring compliance with AML, Land Registry, SDLT, and regulatory requirements
- Building and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships
- Supporting business development and networking initiatives where appropriate
About You
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive
- Minimum 3+ years' PQE (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience across both residential and commercial property matters
- Confident managing a busy caseload independently
- Excellent technical knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client care skills
- Commercially aware with excellent communication skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively
- Experience using legal case management systems
