Salary: Up to £36,000 (DOE)

About the Firm
We are a forward-thinking and rapidly growing accountancy practice based in York, known for our supportive culture, modern approach, and commitment to staff development. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Semi Senior / Senior Accountant to join our friendly and collaborative team.

The Role
You will work with a varied portfolio of clients, supporting them with high-quality accounting and compliance services while developing your technical and professional skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Preparation and review of management accounts
- Corporation tax computations and returns
- Personal tax returns
- VAT returns
- Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members (depending on experience)
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- ACA / ACCA part-qualified or fully qualified
- Has 3+ years’ experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- Technically competent with a strong understanding of UK accounting standards
- Confident communicating with clients
- Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage their own workload
- A team player who will contribute positively to our culture
