We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant or Manager with a background in agricultural clients to join our growing team in Stockton-on-Tees. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships and providing specialist advice within the agricultural and rural business sector.
We are happy to consider candidates at both Senior Accountant and Manager level.
The Role
You will work closely with a varied portfolio of specifically (but not limited to) agricultural and rural clients, providing accountancy, business advisory, and tax support tailored to the farming and agricultural sector.
This is a client-facing role offering genuine progression opportunities within a supportive and flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of agricultural and rural business clients
- Preparing and reviewing accounts, tax returns, and management information
- Providing business and financial advice tailored to the agricultural sector
- Supporting clients with budgeting, forecasting, and business planning
- Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff
- Identifying opportunities to add value and develop client services
- Keeping up to date with industry and legislative changes affecting the agricultural sector
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Previous experience working within practice
- Experience working with agricultural or rural business clients preferred
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach
- Organised and able to manage multiple client deadlines effectively
- Experience supervising or managing staff is desirable for Manager-level applicants
