Puro Associates are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a new and fresh accountancy firm with a fast growing team based in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant looking to progress their career within a supportive team.

Benefits of a Senior Accountant –

• Primarily based in Durham but flexibility to work within the Gateshead office.

Responsibilities of a Senior Accountant include but are not limited to –

• Preparation of a varied portfolio of accounts   
• Completion of draft statutory accounts 
• Tax computations 
• Liaise directly with clients via a variety of communication methods 
• Supervise and coach junior members of the team 

What we are looking for in a Senior Accountant –

• At least 3-5 years’ experience within a UK Practice.
• AAT/ACCA Qualified or ACCA Part Qualified. Will consider those that are qualified by experience.
• After training, confident to hit the ground running.
• Experience managing a team or overseeing junior members of staff.
