Qualified Senior Accounting Manager (Accountancy Practice)

An established and technology-driven accountancy practice in North Dublin is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking an experienced Qualified Senior Accounting Manager to join the team.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking for more than a traditional review-focused position. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in influencing technical standards, improving systems and processes, mentoring a growing team, and contributing to the wider strategic development of the firm.
This is a remote position with an initial onboarding period based in Balbriggan. Occasional office attendance may be required throughout the year for team meetings and client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Review and sign off on statutory accounts and tax work
- Oversee Corporation Tax, Income Tax, and VAT compliance
- Maintain high technical standards across the practice
- Provide guidance on complex tax and accounting matters
Team Management & Workflow
- Manage workflow, deadlines, and team capacity planning
- Coach, mentor, and support junior team members
- Encourage continued professional development and technical growth
- Ensure work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard
Practice Growth & Client Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Identify advisory opportunities and tax planning solutions
- Support proposal development and pricing strategies
- Contribute to improving profitability and achieving KPIs
- Assist with scaling systems, processes, and operational efficiencies
- Manage a small portfolio of clients
Candidate Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualified
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Irish accountancy practice
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in practice
- Strong experience reviewing accounts and tax returns
- Confident managing Corporation Tax, Income Tax, and VAT queries
- Comfortable managing deadlines, priorities, and team members
- Strong knowledge of cloud accounting systems
- CTA qualification or strong tax capability would be a distinct advantage
