About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a well-established and growing law firm as either a Senior Associate or Partner. Based primarily in Chester, this newly created position offers the chance to establish and grow the firm's Employment Law offering across Chester and North Wales.
Working within a close-knit and highly regarded Employment team, you'll handle a broad range of high-quality contentious and non-contentious matters while playing a key role in business development and the future growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of employment law matters for employers and employees.
- Conduct Employment Tribunal litigation from instruction through to conclusion.
- Undertake advocacy at Employment Tribunal hearings where appropriate.
- Provide practical HR and employment law advice to a diverse client base.
- Build and develop long-term client relationships.
- Lead networking and business development initiatives to expand the department's presence across Chester and North Wales.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments to deliver an exceptional client service.
- Meet billing targets through effective time recording and case management.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in Employment Law.
- Strong Employment Tribunal and advocacy experience.
- Able to manage a busy caseload independently.
- Commercially minded with excellent client care skills.
- Passionate about business development and growing a regional Employment practice.
- Positive, approachable and collaborative with strong leadership qualities.
