A respected and forward-thinking accountancy firm is recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager to join its expanding tax team. This role offers a blend of high-level advisory work, leadership responsibility and long-term progression within a people-focused practice.
Working closely with the Tax Director, the Senior Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering complex tax projects while supporting and developing the wider tax function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading on corporate tax advisory projects, including reorganisations, demergers, mergers and acquisitions, company sales and business valuations
  • Supporting the Tax Director on complex technical and strategic assignments
  • Managing, mentoring and developing members of the tax team
  • Overseeing a small portfolio of high-net-worth personal tax compliance clients
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and assisting with project scoping
  • Managing HMRC correspondence, enquiries and in-depth compliance reviews
  • Ensuring all personal, corporate and trust tax work meets statutory deadlines and internal quality standards
  • Monitoring budgets, recoveries and departmental fee forecasts
  • Working closely with audit and administration teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Supporting training, CPD and ongoing professional development within the department

Candidate Requirements

  • ATT and CTA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of two years’ experience at Tax Manager level
  • Experience managing a client portfolio
  • Strong technical knowledge across corporate and personal tax
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capability
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
