Trainee Accountant / Auditor
My client, a long-established and respected firm of Chartered Accountants and Statutory Auditors, is seeking a highly motivated trainee to join their dynamic senior professional team. This full-time trainee position offers a strong opportunity for career development and growth for the right individual.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of audit, accounts, and related services to a broad portfolio of clients operating across a wide range of sectors. Working closely with directors and senior management, the role offers significant hands-on experience and the chance to contribute meaningfully to the firm’s ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:
As a core member of the team, the successful candidate can expect to be involved in:

  • Assisting in the planning, management, and execution of audit engagements in an efficient and timely manner
  • Preparation of financial statements for audits, limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Supporting the completion of various tax returns (e.g., PAYE/PRSI, CT, IT, VAT)
  • Managing elements of the client base to ensure timely delivery of work
  • Performing other ad-hoc duties as required
  • Helping manage workflow in a busy office environment

Candidate Profile:

  • ACA / ACCA part-qualified
  • 1–2 years’ experience in audit
  • Strong technical knowledge, particularly FRS 102 / IFRS
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Proven experience of working effectively as part of a team

Key Competencies:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of FRS102 / IFRS. Experience with software such as Relate (Drive/Corporation Tax), CaseWare, and Surf Accounts is desirable.
  • Initiative: A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop, supported by a collaborative team environment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing client needs and priorities.
  • Work Ethic: A motivated, hardworking individual who is eager to grow professionally.
