Our client, a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Chesterfield, is seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join their dynamic team. The Role:
The successful Accounts & Audit Senior will play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing both accounting and audit assignments from planning to completion. Working closely with clients across a variety of sectors, they will ensure the delivery of high-quality service while supporting junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and executing audit engagements from planning to completion
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a diverse range of clients
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and audit standards
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, providing guidance and training
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Identifying and resolving accounting and audit issues proactively
- Assisting with business advisory work where required
You:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with relevant practice experience
- Strong experience in both audit and accounts preparation within an accountancy practice
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- A proactive and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is desirable
