Accounts Senior – Opportunity with a Leading Accountancy Firm
Location - Henley on Thames

Puro Associates is excited to represent an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Senior within a dynamic and innovative accountancy firm. This client specialises in providing tailored accountancy and tax advisory services to a diverse range of clients, from SMEs and high-net-worth individuals to large multinational corporations.
We’re looking for an ambitious Accounts Senior to join this team and play a key role in supporting clients with high-quality accounting and tax services. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing role and is eager to take ownership of important tasks within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders to a high standard.
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Daily bookkeeping and preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns across all types of VAT schemes.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assisting in the development and training of junior team members.
  • Providing exceptional client service.
  • Supporting the Managers with ad-hoc tasks as required.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • AAT qualified with at least part-qualified ACA/ACCA.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in practice.
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems such as CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Alphatax (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong client relationship-building skills.
  • A hands-on, diligent approach with excellent client interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A strong team player with a proactive work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
