Puro Associates are delighted to be working with a well-established accountancy practice in Glasgow who are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Senior to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified accountant who enjoys working with a varied client portfolio and delivering high-quality accounts preparation while building strong client relationships. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting clients, reviewing financial information and contributing to the continued success of the practice.
The Role
As an Accounts Senior, you will take responsibility for managing client accounts and delivering accurate, high-quality work across a diverse portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Reviewing financial information and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Liaising with clients to provide proactive support and resolve queries
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
- Working closely with managers and partners to deliver an excellent client experience
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
About You
We're looking for someone who is ACA or ACCA fully qualified and has previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
You'll ideally have:
- A minimum of 3 years' practice experience
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts for a varied client base
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Previous experience supporting or reviewing the work of junior team members
- A strong technical accounting background
- A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
