We’re delighted to be working with a well-established and growing independent accountancy practice in Newcastle to recruit an Accounts Senior or Semi Senor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, close-knit team

The Role
As an Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, working across accounts preparation, client management, and supporting junior staff. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality service while building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients including SMEs and owner-managed businesses
- Producing management accounts and financial reports
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping queries and providing day-to-day financial advice
- Supporting with VAT returns and liaising with HMRC where required
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and financial reporting
- Confident communicator with good client-facing skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
