Actions Against the Police Solicitor / Litigation Fee Earner
Location: North West England (Liverpool)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum DOE + Monthly Bonus

A specialist claimant litigation practice is seeking a motivated Newly Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx), or experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its growing civil litigation team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in a niche and rewarding area of litigation. Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for candidates with general litigation experience who are keen to specialise.

The Role
You will manage your own caseload of civil litigation matters from instruction through to settlement or trial, working within a supportive and experienced team environment.

The successful candidate will receive ongoing training, supervision, and opportunities for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload from inception to conclusion
  • Reviewing new enquiries and assessing prospects of success
  • Investigating claims and obtaining supporting evidence
  • Drafting pre-action correspondence and legal documentation
  • Conducting settlement negotiations
  • Preparing court proceedings and progressing litigated matters
  • Maintaining accurate file management and case records
  • Delivering excellent client care throughout the lifecycle of a claim
  • Working to deadlines and performance targets

Candidate RequirementsEssential

  • Newly Qualified Solicitor, FCILEx, or equivalent litigation experience
  • Litigation experience gained through a training contract, paralegal role, legal placement, or similar
  • Excellent communication and client-care skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
  • Positive, proactive, and professional approach

Desirable

  • Experience handling litigated matters
  • Familiarity with case management systems
  • Previous claimant litigation experience
