Assistant Accountant
Durham
Salary: up to £32,000 (depending on experience and qualification level)

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with preparation of accounts for a range of clients
- Bookkeeping
- Supporting senior team members with audits and financial reporting
- Preparing VAT returns
- Tax computations
- Liaising with clients and maintaining strong working relationships
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc finance tasks
Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice (preferred)
- AAT qualified or currently studying (or looking to begin ACCA/ACA)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Desire to learn, develop, and progress within the profession
