Puro Associates is excited to support a leading accountancy practice in Derby, who are currently seeking an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join their growing team. The successful candidate will take on a pivotal role, leading and managing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and deliver audit engagements as an Audit and Accounts Senior for a range of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation.
- Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP in your role as Audit and Accounts Senior.
- Manage and supervise junior team members, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in their work as part of your duties as Audit and Accounts Senior.
- Communicate effectively with clients to establish and maintain strong relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met in your capacity as Audit and Accounts Senior.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as required by the partners of the firm while fulfilling your responsibilities as Audit and Accounts Senior.
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience leading and managing audit engagements.
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage junior staff.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office.
