Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience in previous Audit Senior Role
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working available following completion of probation period
Holiday: 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
About the Audit Senior Role:
Puro Associates are excited to be representing a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior to join our this established employer in Milton Keynes in an Audit Senior Role. As part of a rapidly growing, top 20 accountancy firm in the UK, this Audit Senior Role offers you the chance to work on a varied and high-quality portfolio of audit clients, including owner-managed businesses, not-for-profit organisations, and charities. You will collaborate closely with Audit Managers and take on a client-facing role, building strong relationships with business owners across the region.
Key Responsibilities of the Audit Senior Role:
- Lead the audit process from planning through to completion
- Undertake non-audit assignments, including accounts preparation and tax computations
- Prepare realistic job budgets and liaise with Managers on any issues
- Use relevant software effectively to enhance job delivery
- Develop an understanding of client businesses and manage projects to meet client expectations and deadlines
- Mentor and support trainees, providing constructive feedback and coaching
- Share best practices and process improvements within the team
- Communicate effectively with clients in both verbal and written forms
- Regularly update Partners and Managers on the progress of jobs
- Stay informed on legislative, technical, and regulatory changes and share knowledge with the team
Requirements for the Audit Senior Role:
We are looking for an Audit Senior who possess the following skills and experience:
- ACA / ACCA qualified
- At least 2-3 years' experience in an Audit role, ideally within practice
- Strong technical knowledge of Audit & Accounting standards
- Familiarity with accounting systems and control environments
- Previous experience in the charities and academy sectors would be beneficial
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Xero
- Experience with CCH and Caseware is an advantage
- Strong Excel skills (vlookup, sumif, pivot tables)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build client relationships
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to drive and access to your own transport for client site visits
