Our client, a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Dublin 2, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their expanding team. The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, while working closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit assignments for a portfolio of SME and mid-market clients
- Prepare and review financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards
- Plan audits, identify key risk areas, and ensure compliance with audit procedures
- Supervise and mentor junior team members throughout engagements
- Liaise directly with clients and maintain strong professional relationships
- Assist managers and partners with business development and client advisory work
- Ensure assignments are completed within agreed timelines and budgets
- Support the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies
Requirements
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ audit experience within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish GAAP and auditing standards
- Experience managing audits from start to finish
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Proficient in audit and accounting software packages
