We’re working with a highly respected independent accountancy firm in Newcastle who are looking to appoint an Audit Senior to join their growing audit and assurance team.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious auditor to step into a role offering real variety, strong client exposure, and the chance to work closely with experienced managers and partners on a wide range of assignments.
The Role
As Audit Senior, you will lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, taking responsibility for fieldwork, supervising juniors, and ensuring high-quality delivery to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading audits for SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and larger corporate clients
- Planning, executing, and completing audit assignments
- Supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff on-site and remotely
- Preparing financial statements and audit reports
- Identifying risks, control weaknesses, and recommending improvements
- Liaising directly with clients to build strong, long-term relationships
- Supporting managers and partners with complex audit assignments
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified with strong audit experience
- Proven background within UK practice audit work
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS (desirable)
- Confident in leading audit teams and managing client relationships
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
