Job Title: Practice Accountant / Audit Associate
Location: Stillorgan, Co. Dublin
Overview
Our client, a growing Chartered Accountancy practice based in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin, is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Accountant / Audit Associate to join their team. The firm offers a friendly and supportive working environment and works with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. This role provides excellent exposure to multiple areas of practice including accounting, audit, and taxation.
Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements for a range of clients
• Assisting with and conducting audit assignments
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Supporting the preparation of corporation tax and income tax returns
• Working with group structures including consolidation work
• Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries in a professional manner
• Assisting with ad hoc accounting and compliance work as required
• Supporting senior team members on larger client engagements

Requirements

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles, including debits and credits
• Audit experience is essential
• Experience with group accounts and consolidations would be advantageous
• Exposure to IFRS and/or FRS102 preferred (majority of clients report under FRS102)
• Some exposure to corporate or personal taxation would be beneficial, though training will be provided

• Strong IT skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Excel
