Bookkeeper

Job: Experienced Bookkeeper
Hours: 25-37.5 hours per week
Location: Aylesbury
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper for a permanent position with a family run, well established firm in the Aylesbury area. This role offers the flexibility of working between 25 and 37.5 hours per week and is ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping, including expertise with Sage, VAT returns, and CIS returns.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Process VAT returns and CIS returns using the Sage module.
• Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Work independently and proactively under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Assist with month-end and year-end procedures as required.
• Liaise with clients to resolve any accounting queries.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper.
• Extensive knowledge and experience using Sage software.
• Confident in preparing VAT returns and CIS returns (via Sage).
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and show initiative in problem-solving.
