Civil Litigation Solicitor

A growing East London law firm is seeking a confident, commercially aware, and experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor to manage their own caseload independently while working in a supportive and fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload including:
- Civil litigation matters
- Landlord & tenant disputes (possession, rent arrears, disrepair, tenancy issues)
- Housing matters
- General dispute resolution
- Handle matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, including:
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and court applications
- Complying with court directions and procedural deadlines
- Conducting legal research and providing strategic client advice
- Attending hearings and conducting advocacy where appropriate
- Maintaining proactive and professional client communication
- Working towards agreed billing and performance targets
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Minimum 3 years’ PQE in civil litigation
- Strong experience in landlord & tenant matters
- Ability to independently manage a full caseload
- Excellent drafting and advocacy skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Commercial awareness and client-focused approach
