Client Accountant
We are working with a well-established accountancy practice who are looking to appoint an experienced Client Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified practice accountant who enjoys a blend of technical work, client relationship management, and advisory exposure within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You will take ownership of a varied client portfolio and play a key role in ensuring high-quality delivery of accounts, tax compliance, and client service.

The Role
- Preparing and finalising year-end statutory accounts for Ltd Companies, LLPs, Partnerships, and Sole Traders
- Preparing Corporation Tax computations and CT600s
- Completing Self-Assessment Tax Returns for directors, business owners, and individuals
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing proactive and timely advice
- Handling client queries via phone, email, and meetings in a professional and responsive manner
- Liaising with HMRC and other external bodies where required
- Supporting with management accounts, budgets, and cashflow forecasting
- Identifying opportunities to support clients with additional services
- Contributing to improving internal processes and efficiencies
About You
- Must have at least 2-3 years solid experience working within UK accountancy practice
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) – part-qualified with strong experience also considered
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and tax compliance
- Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
- A proactive and commercially minded attitude
- Experience with Xero and/or CCH (desirable but not essential)
