A well-established and growing law firm is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its expanding litigation team based in Blackpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with clinical negligence experience to handle a varied caseload within a supportive and collaborative environment, while continuing to develop their expertise in complex claimant matters.
The Role
You will manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims from instruction through to resolution, providing high-quality legal advice and compassionate client care throughout the litigation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of clinical negligence matters independently
- Reviewing medical records and identifying potential claims
- Instructing medical experts and counsel
- Assessing liability, causation, and quantum issues
- Drafting legal documentation including letters of claim, witness statements, and schedules of loss
- Advising clients throughout the claims process with empathy and professionalism
- Negotiating settlements and progressing litigated matters where required
- Attending conferences, mediations, and court hearings as appropriate
- Maintaining accurate file management and compliance standards
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in clinical negligence litigation
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong technical knowledge of claimant clinical negligence work
- Excellent communication and client-care skills
- Strong drafting and organisational abilities
- Professional and empathetic approach to sensitive matters
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
