Clinical Negligence Solicitor (NQ – 5 PQE)

A growing and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor (NQ – 5 years’ PQE) to join its expanding team based in Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor to further develop their expertise within a supportive, collaborative, and client-focused environment. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with appropriate supervision while working alongside experienced practitioners on a range of complex and sensitive matters.
The Role
You will handle a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims, supporting clients through complex legal matters while working to secure the best possible outcomes and rehabilitation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of clinical negligence matters from instruction through to resolution
- Reviewing medical records and preparing case chronologies
- Instructing and liaising with medical experts and counsel
- Assessing breach of duty and causation issues
- Drafting legal documents including letters of claim, witness statements, and schedules of loss
- Advising clients throughout the claims process with empathy and professionalism
- Negotiating settlements and pursuing interim payments where appropriate
- Attending conferences, mediations, and court hearings as required
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supporting wider team and business development initiatives where appropriate
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- Between Newly Qualified and 5 years’ PQE
- Experience within clinical negligence or personal injury litigation
- Strong organisational and case management skills
- Excellent communication and client-care abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable clients through sensitive claims
