Residential/Commercial ConveyancerRole OverviewA well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Residential / Commericial Conveyancer to join its busy property department. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion.
This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent client care skills, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a full lifecycle caseload of residential conveyancing matters independently
- Handling:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Re-mortgages
- Transfers of equity
- New build transactions
- Conducting title investigations and raising enquiries
- Ensuring compliance with AML and regulatory requirements
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, brokers, and third parties
- Managing exchange of contracts and legal completion processes
- Preparing SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
- Maintaining accurate case records using case management systems
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ residential conveyancing experience
- Ability to independently manage a busy caseload from start to finish
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or experienced non-qualified Conveyancer considered
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Strong client care and relationship management skills
- Additional language skills are advantageous but not essential
